Jennifer has nearly two decades of experience in executive recruiting/talent acquisition.  She started her search career as a partner with TeamWork Consulting, a boutique executive search firm specializing in the sports marketing industry. Mearns focused on the corporate and agency side of the business, working with clients including the NBA, NASCAR, Texaco, Quaker Oats, Visa, and Sears.


Mearns started her career in the sports marketing industry as a Public Relations Assistant at Madison Square Garden.  She then spent two years as a Media Liaison with the Men’s International Professional Tennis Council (now the ATP Tour), traveling 30+ weeks a year generating media for the world’s top men’s tennis professionals.  For the next 10 years, she negotiated and managed global sports and entertainment sponsorships and merchandising programs for clients including IBM, Nabisco, Haagen-Dazs, Lufthansa German Airlines and MasterCard.


Building on her strong marketing background, a successful career in recruitment and a vision to provide a unique alternative solution to traditional executive recruiting firms, Jennifer founded JPM Consulting Services in 2003.  JPM Consulting provides executive recruiting, talent acquisition, talent assessment and general organizational consulting to a wide variety of clients.  Clients have included Moen Inc., The Master Lock Company, KeyBank, IMAGINIT Technologies, Gatorade and several boutique recruiting firms.


Mearns holds a B.S. from Bryant University, where she served for nine years on the Board of Trustees, including three years as Vice Chair.  She actively serves on a number of not-for-profit boards focusing on education and children & families in need.  She and her husband have five children.



Kelly O'Meara

Senior Recruiter

Kelly joined JPM Consulting in the fall of 2013 as a Sr. Researcher and is now fully involved in the recruiting process. She began her career in the Executive Training program with Von Maur, an upscale department store chain, where she was exposed to all facets of the business, from Management to Warehousing to Buying. Upon completing the program she was promoted to a Manager where she gained P&L responsibility and led a team of 20. Eventually she relocated to Omaha, NE to assist with the opening of a flagship store, which brought along the added responsibility of interviewing, hiring and training over 300 new associates.


In 1998, Kelly changed her career focus to marketing at American Business Information where she managed Direct Mail Campaigns, Market Research and Catalog Printing. She then worked for Clarion Direct, a global direct marketing agency, where she managed a portion of the B2B Advertising Accounts for Southwestern Bell and Call Interactive. These accounts eventually led her to Rodgers Townsend, a full-service marketing communications agency. She gained added experience in Billboard, Radio and Commercial Advertising while continuing to manage the Southwestern Bell account and adding the St. Louis Rams and multiple non-profit organizations.


Kelly holds a B.A. in Marketing from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She currently lives in Edina, MN with her husband, Patrick, and their three children. Kelly is an active member of the Social Justice Board at her church, St. Patrick’s.
